Texas Family Captures Curious Video of “Chupacabra” During Late Night Road Trip

Despite all the chest beating done by folks who claim they’ve “solved” the case of the Chupacabra, the pesky little monsters just keep showing up.

The latest sighting of the elusive Latin-American goat sucker was captured on video by a family out for a late night drive in San Antonio, Texas. The camera phone video shows what appears to be some kind of long-tailed, long-snouted white creature crossing the highway, a creature that Margaux Huckabay says is none other than the Chupacabra.

“People were saying it’s probably like a coyote with mange, but then someone wrote back that doesn’t look like a coyote,” she told KCTV5 News. “It definitely looks weird. It has a really long nose and a really long tail.”

Huckabay says that it was her brother who shot the video of the creature, and the following night, the two of them drove back out to the location of his sighting, but the strange beast was long gone.

Could the Chupacabra still be stalking the city of San Antonio? Was it even the legendary monster to begin with?  Check out the video here, and let us know what you think.

Chupacabras never look like that badass, spiny, straight-out-of-science-fiction thing they looked like when it all began. So disappointing.

Next time, try filming with a camera instead of a potato.

“It doesn’t look like a coyote.” Really? How can you tell? Ok, let’s assume it’s not a coyote. Do you want me to name any other indigenous small-medium canine that it could be? Because it really could be any of them.

It looks a lot less fearsome that some eyewitnesses say it is. In fact it’s downright adorable. I would get it as a pet if I could.

    Any foxes in Texas?

Because that looks like a fox with mange. (google image search)

In agreement. That is clearly a fox. Couldn’t the news crew have contacted a local zoo to get that identified? Sheesh!

Juvenile coyote, clearly starving and emaciated, hence the exaggerated features and fairly small size (compare to the size of the lines on the road for scale). I doubt if any sheep are in danger from this one, but the neighbor’s trash can? Certainly.
