All is fair in love and war. That’s what they say at least.
Not so for an El Sobrante woman who was arrested Tuesday for the June 5th slaying of a romantic rival, a killing she says occurred during an exorcism gone awry.
The accused, Karla Kuhl, a 35 year old resident of East Richmond Heights, claims she accidentally suffocated Patricia Medeiros in her 6000 block North Arlington home in the wee hours of the morning after a heated argument. Kuhl claims she was only performing an exorcism on the 58-year-old woman, who we should note was in also in a shared relationship with Kuhl’s would-be boyfriend.
Kuhl was arrested without question on one million dollars worth of bail and will appear in front of a judge next Tuesday.
What with the recent rash of exorcism deaths spotting North America, I can’t help but wonder if the, ‘oops, I accidentally killed you,’ angle hasn’t become the go-to excuse for offing someone.
