Man Discovers Frightening Image of Ghostly Visitor on his Phone’s Security App

Many of us have apps installed on our phones and computers that take a quick snapshot whenever there’s a failed attempt at logging in. More often than not, it’s just a blurry photo of us after accidentally punching in the wrong security code, but sometimes it’s something far more terrifying.

After packing it in and heading to bed, a man named Brian left his phone plugged in on the first floor of his second story home, but when he woke in the morning, he noticed that someone had tried to access his device. When he checked the snapshot, a strange photo awaited him.

The picture, which was taken at 1:19am by the CM Security app, shows a seriously creepy humanoid face staring directly into the camera lens. Understandably, the first thing Brian assumed was that someone had broken into the house in the dead of night, but after having spent the next day searching for evidence of intrusion, Brian was sure no one had broken in.

Brian quickly took to Reddit’s /r/paranormal message board to share the ghostly image, where it was subsequently cleaned up and made twice as terrifying.

Of course, there’s always room for errors and hoaxes, but there’s no denying the image is a creepy one. I don’t know about you, but if I found that one my phone, I’d probably start making some plans to move… or at least start keeping my phone locked away at night.

It looks more like a doll or maybe your idol than a person.

Totally looks like either a troll doll or Easter Island keychain thingy. My inner skeptic says lolz at this one.

I see a dog nose. Looks like the camera snapped a pic just as puppy snuffled the phone.

I read the reddit threads (posted to both Creepy and Paranormal) and apparently he doesn’t have a dog or cat. I agree, though, if he did have a pet, the pet would be the obvious culprit.

I wonder why he installed that app? He’s does have other family members, and maybe one of them has tried to access his phone in the past. Maybe that person is aware he has a security app and put a doll or animal photo or whatever in front of the camera. Either as a joke, or not to get caught. Either way, that person would deny it. That’s the most logical explanation, given info we have.

I’m not one to use unnecessary profanity on-line, however I feel it’s necessary to say oh, fuck no! Hell to the naw naw is the understatement of the month.
