To Catch a Paranormal Predator: Man Attempts to Film Ghost, Captures Something Much, Much Worse

A curious Australian man looking to capture paranormal activity on a hidden camera ended up with evidence of something a whole lot scarier – his girlfriend having a sexual relationship with his underage son.

The man (who wasn’t named for legal reasons), had previously become convinced that his residence was home to some kind of ghostly presence, and decided to set up a videocamera a la To Catch a Predator Paranormal Activity in an effort to capture proof of the apparition on film. Only when he went back for evidence review, he discovered no spooky specters, but his 28 year old girlfriend having sexual relations with his 16 year old son.

Who ya gonna call? The police, naturally, who took the unnamed woman into custody.

The woman told the court that she had, in fact, slept with the boy on several occasions, going so far as to meet up in motel rooms in another part of the state.

“She accepts this is not a relationship which can or will continue,” her defense lawyer told the court, saying that she had “mistaken the age of consent for 16”.

According to The Mercury, the woman is due for sentencing Monday.

Tip for the accused: just tell the court that the ghost made you do it.
