In 2003, a micro budget documentary was made about a gang of teenage ghost hunters from a rural town in Pennsylvania. The film, created an entire year before SyFy’s Ghost Hunters hit the airwaves, became an instant cult classic, and the second most bootlegged VHS tape in Bradford County (the first belongs to Ronnie James Dio Live in Tokyo).
Despite the film’s underground popularity, it was only released on DVD briefly, leaving only a few low resolution clips on Dailymotion and sub par DVD copies on eBay as viewing methods. It’s a damn tragedy for anyone who ever wanted to see the teenage members of GHI sing nursery rhymes in a desperate bid to attract spirits.
Well, for the first time in many years, we’re happy to announce that Ghost Hunters, Inc. Presents: The Graveyard Shift, a film by NewGil Pictures, will be available on DVD again, and in a special 10 Year Anniversary edition at that. Whether it’s your second time seeing Nick Foust make an ass out of himself in Vinnie’s, or your first time watching the director get choked out by a malevolent force in the Church of the Damned, there’s going to be something new (and mildly embarrassing) for everyone.
And now, for the first time outside of RealPlayer (like we said, it’s ten years old), is the trailer for GHI Presents: The Graveyard Shift.
