Miami Mayoral Candidate Threatened with Voodoo Curse

It appears someone is attempting to curse ex-pop singer and Miami mayor candidate, Anna Pierre. The contender claims to have found bloody chicken feathers and a voodoo doll left at her office, intended to jinx her chances of winning against the other eight mayoral candidates running.

Pierre, whose running message is “put an end to corruption”, explained to The Miami Harold this week that, having been born in Haiti, she is familiar with many voodoo rituals adding that she, “…doesn’t fear voodoo because [I] believe in Jesus and has people praying..”

Pierre also claims to have been at mercy of some not so supernatural threats, as she has been receiving sinister phone calls demanding she drop out of the race. Many of the running mates have also reported threats and demands that they also drop out. Though, they have not yet received any “voodoo” related threats, many, Pierre included, have filed police reports regarding missing signs and random acts of vandalism.

Anne doesn’t seem too shook up about the voodoo or the treats, saying:

“They can put all the voodoo they want. I’m a Christian woman. I’m not scared.”

This is hardly the first time a voodoo curse has been cast on a politician. In 2005, a renowned black magician placed a hex on then-President George Bush.

Hey, the price of a few goats is far cheaper than television advertising time for your smear ads.
