The ever-so-famous Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot footage requires no introduction, yet, just for the newbies: Roger Patterson, along with his friend Bob Gimlin, captured a video of a bipedal hominid crouched at a distance in 1967, at the Bluff Creek north of Orleans in California.

The video clearly showed the creature rising up and staring at them before disappearing into the woods, and is clearly the best evidence of Bigfoot that vintage cryptozoology could provide.
