Paranormal investigators hoping to catch a late night scare at a haunted railroad tunnel got their wish last weekend, but instead of fleeing a supernatural fright, they found themselves on the run from a pissed off neighbor packing heat.

Shortly before 11PM on Thursday, June 13, twenty-eight year old Brandi Lea Amey of Tennessee allegedly opened fire on Jessica Winstead, 20, and a car full of juveniles milling around the Sensabaugh Hollow Road train tunnel, a location known for it’s “phantom train” sightings. Luckily for the alarmed ghost hunters, Amey was only toting a BB gun and no one was hurt, aside from their vehicle, anyway.

Jessica stated that a female with blond hair (later identified as Amey) came out from the residence next to the tunnel and told them they needed to leave,” [Officer] Lipe said. “As the male was getting back into the vehicle they observed some type of firearm in (Amey’s) hand. Jessica said she saw the female cocking the firearm, and as they drove off she (Amey) fired it at them, striking the rear of the vehicle.

Amey was arrested early Friday morning, charged with five counts of aggravated assault, and was released on a $10,000 bond. When arrested, she apparently told authorities that she was tired of the disturbances caused by paranormal thrill seekers attracted to the tunnel.

Amey’s hearing is set for July 29th, where if there is a god, the the judge will give her a speech about shooting her eye out.
