Unicode Conspiracy? Surprising Addition Winks At UFOlogists

The greatest tool wielded by mankind isn’t a sword, nor a hammer. It’s language.

Since the dawn of the internet, it has evolved to include emoticons, Wingdings, unicode, and tons of other strangeness that we loathe and love. The latest contribution to written language is emoji, a small digital image or icon used to express an idea, emotion, etc., in electronic communication.¹

We’re about to jump feet first into the rabbit hole.

One of the newest additions is a man in black. You know, those black-eyed kids, all grown up, working for some unknown government organization, flashing people’s memories, and renditioning people who know too much back to Zeta Reticuli.

Labelled as a “Man In Business Suit Levitating” in the Unicode 7.0 standard,² this is clearly a MIB. First and foremost, the first three words initialize into MIB. Next, who has ever seen a levitating man in a business suit? Is it even part of common lore? The answer is a resounding “yes” in UFOlogical circles.

Further investigation into 01F51C (I have to write it out like that, when I keep pasting in the emoji, WordPress eats it), it refers to 意味 or yìwèi. Translated, this represents “meaning” or “significance”. Everyone knows how MIBs are significant in UFO lore.
